For over 25 years, Pinter Consulting has been developing software for a wide variety of companies and organizations.

In 1980, we helped develop the Magic Wand, one of the first word processors ever written for microcomputers. In September of 1980, a 23-year-old Bill Gates bought our source code and used it to develop Microsoft Word.

We designed and built the program used by thousands of Kwik-Kopy's franchisees to calculate the price for printing jobs. This standardized pricing for the industry, and since it was the first printing franchise to offer computer pricing, helped the franchise expand far ahead of its competitors.

We wrote the Royalty Revenue system for LucasFilm to keep track of royalties from products licensed under the Star Wars umbrella; the first report produced by the program found twelve million dollars in uncollected revenues. The program was written in a new language that had just been out for a few months; FoxBASE.

For the next 10 years, Pinter Consulting focused on database application development using FoxPro. We worked with software companies to refine their products, and wrote six books and over 260 articles on the FoxPro language and on database development in General.

Ten years ago, we hopped on the .NET bandwagon, and wrote "Visual FoxPro to Visual Basic.NET" (Sams Publishing), the only book that shows how to write the same application in both languages. This book has been used by thousands of developers to assist them in moving to a new career focus.

Today, Pinter Consulting works with a staff of skilled programmers located in Argentina and Brazil to offer state-of-the-art development at prices that US-based companies can't touch.    If you have a FoxPro system that needs to be converted to .NET, give us a call. We absolutely will be the low bid, and we absolutely know what we're doing. We've been down this path before.
